Urban Word, the NYC-based organization that started and runs the National Youth Poet Laureate program hosted its 22nd Annual NYC Teen Poetry Slam on April 10. Cheryl Wills of NY1 featured the program along with an interview with one of the five winners who will compete in this year’s regional poetry slam against teams from across the nation.
